Das letzte Aufeinandertreffen der beiden Mannschaften in Mönchengladbach verlor der BVB mit 1:3. Im Hinspiel hatte der BVB noch die Nase vorn. Durch das legendäre Eigentor von Christoph Kramer siegte der BVB 1:0 im Heimspiel.
